NE User Management

In this user interface, you can manage NE users for a specific NE. You can query, add, delete, and modify an NE user, and set a password for the NE user.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select Security > NE User Management from the Function Tree.

Adds an NE user, and set the NE user attribute.

Deletes an NE user.

Modifies the properties of an NE user.

Sets the user additional information.

Set Password

Sets passwords for NE users other than the currently logged-in NE user.

Set Current User Password

Sets the password for a currently logged-in NE user.

The operation object selected.

NE User

For example: USER

The name of the NE user. The name consists of 4-16 characters. It can be a combination of letters, digits, spaces and underlines. Note that at least one letter must be included.

User Level

Monitor level, Operation level, Maintenance level, System level, Debug level.

The operations carried out by the NE user are classified into five levels, namely monitor level, operation level, maintenance level, system level, debug level from the lowest level to the highest. Each user of higher level can perform all the functions that a lower level user can do. The detailed right settings for each level are:

  • Monitor level: all query commands, log in/out, and modification of its own password.
  • Operation level: all settings for fault and performance, partial security settings, and partial configuration.
  • Maintenance level: partial security settings, partial configuration, communication settings, and log management.
  • System level: all security settings, all configuration.
  • Debug level: all security settings, all configuration, and all debug commands. Debug level is the highest level.

NE User Flag

LCT NE User, EMS NE User, CMD NE User, General NE User, Not logged in

Different NM systems log in to the NE using different NE users.

LCT NE User: The LCT is the local craft terminal of the Web LCT. This user is the one that the LCT uses for managing the NE.

EMS NE User: The EMS is the Web LCT. This user is the one that the Web LCTuses for managing the NE.

CMD NE User: CMD is the command line Web LCT. This user is the one that is used for managing the NE by command line.

General NE User: NE user without partition NM.

Not logged in: NE user not logged in.

User Group Belonged

For example: Administrator User Group

Displays the belonged user group name.

Login Allowed

Yes, No

Sets whether the NE user is allowed to log in.

Encryption Type

MD5, SHA256, -

NOTE:

The MD5 that uses a 128-bit authentication password to generate the key. The SHA256 that uses a 256-bit authentication password to generate the key.

Sets the encryption algorithm type of the NE user password.

NOTICE:

SHA256 is a secure encryption algorithm for devices. If NE user passwords are saved using MD5, abnormal events will be reported.

Permanently Valid or not

Yes, No

Sets whether the NE user is permanently valid or not.

Valid From

For example: 2005-05-07 10:18:07

The start time of user validity.

Valid Till

For example: 2005-05-07 10:18:07

The expiration time of user validity.

Whether the password is allowed to be modified immediately

Yes, No

Sets whether the password is allowed to be modified immediately.

New Password

The password must meet the following requirements to safeguard your user account.
  1. The password contains 8 to 16 characters.
  2. The password cannot duplicate or reverse the user name.
  3. The password contains at least three of the following characters:
    • Lower-case letters
    • Uppe-rcase letters
    • Digits
    • Special characters (~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + \ | [ { } ] ; : ' " , < . > / ? or spaces).

New password of the NE user.

Confirm Password

The password must meet the following requirements to safeguard your user account.
  1. The password contains 8 to 16 characters.
  2. The password cannot duplicate or reverse the user name.
  3. The password contains at least three of the following characters:
    • Lower-case letters
    • Uppe-rcase letters
    • Digits
    • Special characters (~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + \ | [ { } ] ; : ' " , < . > / ? or spaces).

The new password of the NE user that you need to enter again.

Records of all Logins

Yes, No

Sets whether the NE user is valid permanently.

Allowable Login Start Date

For example: Sunday

Sets the allowable login start date. The parameter is valid when Records of all Logins is set to No.

Allowable Login Start Time

For example: 00:00:00

Time format is hour: min: second

Sets the allowable login start time. The parameter is valid when Records of all Logins is set to No.

Allowable Login End Date

For example: Saturday

Sets the allowable login end time. The parameter is valid when Records of all Logins is set to No.

Allowable Login End Time

For example: 23:59:59

Time format is hour: min: second

Sets the allowable login end time. The parameter is valid when Records of all Logins is set to No

Time to Lock User for No Activities (Day)

0-255

Sets the time to lock the NE user for no activities.

Maximum Password Validity (Day)

25-999

Sets the maximum password validity.

Password Modification Time

For example: 2007-01-23 10:28:26

Displays the password modification time.

Last Login Time

For example: 2007-01-23 10:28:00

Displays the last login time of the NE user.
