OTS Overhead

The optical transmission section (OTS) overhead is used to monitor and maintain a trail at the OTS layer. In this user interface, you can set the OTS overhead bytes and the relevant parameters.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an FIU board and choose Configuration > WDM Overhead Management > OTN Overhead > OTS Overhead from the Function Tree.

Display in Text Format

Enables the text format display of overhead bytes.

Display in Hexadecimal

Enables the hexadecimal display of overhead bytes.

Query

Queries the overhead information from the NE.

Apply

Imposes the configurations after the settings.

Shortcut Menu

Select an object from the object list, right-click the field of its TTI to Be Sent or TTI to Be Received parameter, and choose Copy All From Received or Manual Input from the shortcut menu.

Copy All From Received

Copies the overhead bytes to be received to improve work efficiency.

Manual Input

Displays the Overhead Byte dialog box to enter overhead bytes in it.

NOTE:

When setting overhead bytes in text mode, use only ASCII characters.

The monitored object of the OTS overhead.

TTI to be Sent

For example: a-b-e

Sets the trail trace identifier (TTI) to be sent at the port.

The overhead bytes to be set include Source Flag, Sink Flag and User Flag. You can use the Text Format and Hexadecimal modes to set the overhead bytes.

TTI to be Received

For example: a-b-e

Sets the TTI to be received at the port.

TTI Received

For example: a-b-c

Displays the TTI received at the port.

When the TTI received mismatches the TTI to be received, a TTI mismatch alarm occurs.

TIM Detect Mode

Only SAPI, Only DAPI, SAPI&DAPI, No Detection

Default: No Detection

Sets the mode of detecting trail trace identifier mismatch.

SAPI is the source access point identifier.

DAPI is destination access point identifier.

TIM Consequent Actions

Disabled, Enabled

Default: Disabled

Disables or enables the TIM consequent actions.
