Description

NE

NE name.

Register Mode

Stop, Wrap

Indicates the processing mode when alarm memory is full. Wrap: When the alarm memory is full, the earliest alarms are deleted so that new ones can be stored. Stop: When the alarm memory is full, new alarms are discarded.

Alarm Reversion

Disable, Enable (Auto Restore), Enable (Manually Restore)

Indicates the alarm reversion mode. Disable: Alarm reporting is not affected at this port regardless of how this option is set. Enable (Auto Restore): The port set to revertive returns to normal automatically when services are accessed or the failure is cleared. At the same time, alarm reporting is restored. Enable (Manually Restore): The port set to revertive does not return to normal automatically when services are accessed or the failure is cleared. Manual reversion is needed.

Correlation Analysis

Disabled, Enabled

Specifies whether to enable the alarm correlation analysis. If enabled, when alarms are generated on an NE, the NE reports the root alarms only and suppresses the alarms caused by the root ones.

The NG WDM equipment and the SLM equipment do not support this function.

Delay Reporting

Disabled, Enabled

Specifies whether to enable the alarm delay. If disabled, there is no need to set the following two values.

Delay in Alarm Generation

2 to 6

Indicates the period of time from when an alarm is generated to when the alarm is reported. If detecting the alarm continuously in this period, the Web LCT verifies that the alarm is generated. This option is set only when the alarm delay is enabled.

Delay in Alarm Clearance

2 to 20

Indicates the period of time from when an alarm clears to when the reporting ends. If detecting no alarm continuously in this period, the Web LCT verifies that the alarm clears. This option is set only when the alarm delay is enabled.

Alarm Indicator

Enabled, Disabled

Specifies whether to permanently enable the alarm indicator on the NE.

Alarm Threshold for Fade Margin Shortage (dBm)

10.0 to 35.0

Default: 14.0

When the fade margin value is less than the alarm threshold, the alarm will be reported.

Fade is a transmission circumstance relative to free space. Fade margin refers to the level margin that is reserved to ensure that the system can work properly when the bit error rate threshold is not exceeded.

Alarm Sound

Enabled, Disabled

Specifies whether to permanently enable the alarm sound on the NE.
