QinQ Policy

In this interface, you can configure parameters related to the QinQ policy for the QoS management.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click the NE and choose Configuration > Packet Configuration > QoS Management > Policy Management > QinQ Policy.

Description

New

Click New to create a QinQ policy.

Delete

Select the desired QinQ policy and click Delete.

NOTE:

The policy to be deleted is not used.

Query

Select the QinQ policy for the query. Click the Applied Object tab and click Query. Information on the service that uses this policy is displayed.

NOTE:

You must use the QinQ policy to a service.

Copy

Copy the existing QinQ policy as a new policy.

Apply

Click New. The Create Port Policy dialog box is displayed. After you set the port policy, click Apply and then select Single NE or Multi NE. If you select Single NE, the port policy only applies to the current NE. If you select Multi NE, the port policy applies to the NEs that you select in the Select NE dialog box.

WFQ Scheduling Policy

Policy ID-Policy Name

For example: 1-WFQ Default Scheduling

Select the configured WFQ scheduling policy in the displayed dialog box. Related parameters in the dialog box are set in WFQ Scheduling Policy. For details, see WFQ Scheduling Policy.

WRR Scheduling Policy

Policy ID-Policy Name

For example: 1-WRR Default Scheduling

Selects the configured WRR policy in the displayed dialog box. Related parameters in the dialog box are set in WRR Scheduling Policy.

CoS

CS7, CS6, EF, AF4, AF3, AF2, AF1, BE

Define the different service classes.

  • CS6-CS7: Indicates the highest service class. The CoS is applicable to transport of signaling.
  • EF: Indicates fast forwarding. The CoS is applicable to the service of little delay and packet loss rate,
  • AF1-AF4: Indicates the guaranteed forwarding. The CoS is applicable to the service that requires a certain rate, but does not limit the delay or jitter.
  • BE: Indicates the traffic that need not be processed exceptionally, such as the audio and video service traffic.

Grooming Policy After Reloading

SP, WRR, WFQ

Sets the grooming policy after reloading:
  • WRR Grooming Algorithm. The WRR grooming algorithm divides each port into several egress queues and grooms the packets in these queues in turn. This algorithm ensures that every queue obtains a certain period of service.
  • SP Queue Grooming Algorithm. packets of key services are placed in higher priority queues, and packets of non-key services (such as email) are placed in lower priority queues. In this way, packets of key services are always transmitted with a higher priority, and packets of non-key services are transmitted during the transmission intervals of key services.
  • WFQ Grooming Algorithm. A fair queue scheduling algorithm based on bandwidth allocation weights. This scheduling algorithm allocates the total bandwidth of an interface to queues, according to their weights and schedules the queues cyclically. In this manner, packets of all priority queues can be scheduled.

Bandwidth Limitation

Enabled, Disabled

The CIR, PIR, CBS, PBS, Tail Drop Threshold and Port WRED Policy can be set only when Bandwidth Limitation is set to Enabled.

CIR (kbit/s)

Example: 1000

Commit the information rate for the service to pass. This parameter can be set only when Bandwidth Limitation is set to Enabled. The CIR and PIR of CS7 should be the same as those of CS6.

PIR (kbit/s)

Example: 1000

Set the maximum rate for the service to pass. This parameter can be set only when Bandwidth Limitation is set to Enabled.

CBS (bytes)

Example: 10000

Set the committed burst size for the traffic to pass in a short time. This parameter can be set only when Bandwidth Limitation is set to Enabled.

PBS (bytes)

Example: 10000

Set the maximum extra burst buffer size. This parameter can be set only when Bandwidth Limitation is set to Enabled.

Trail Drop Threshold (256 bytes)

0 to 4095

Set the tail drop threshold.

When the queue length exceeds the tail drop threshold, the tail packets are discarded. Set either Tail Drop Threshold or Service WRED Policy, but not both.

Service WRED Policy

Policy ID-Policy Name

For example: 1-WRED Default Scheduling

After bandwidth limit is enabled, double-click the cell to display a dialog box where you need select the configured service WRED policy. Related parameters in the dialog box are set in Service WRED Policy. For details, see Service WRED Policy.

When the queue length is lower than the lower drop threshold, no packets are discarded. When the queue length is higher than the lower drop threshold but lower than the upper drop threshold, packets are discarded randomly. When the queue length is higher than the upper drop threshold, all packets are discarded. Set either Tail Drop Threshold or Service WRED Policy, but not both.

QinQ Link ID

Example: 100

Display the ID of the QinQ link to which the policy is applied.

Physical Port ID

Example: 12

Display the ID of the physical port to which the policy is applied.

S-VLAN ID

Example: 16

Display the ID of the S-VLAN to which the policy is applied.

Duplicated Policy Name

Example: QinQ-test

Select the name of the duplicated policy.

Direction

Ingress, Egress

Display the direction of the QinQ Link.

New Policy Name

Example: Test

Set the name of the new policy generated by duplicating another one.
