Configuring PW (RTN)

In this interface, you can create and query the parameters of PW.

PW ID

Example: 5

Set the PW ID.

PW Signaling Type

Static, Dynamic

Display the PW signaling type.
  • If PW Signaling Type is set to dynamic, the system automatically allocates the PW ingress label and PW egress label.
  • If PW Signaling Type is set to static, set the PW ingress label and PW egress label manually.

PW Type

Ethernet, Ethernet Tagged Mode, CESoPSN, SATop, ATM n to one VCC cell transport, ATM one-to-one VCC Cell Mode, ATM n to one VPC cell transport, ATM one-to-one VPC Cell Mode

PWs of different types process the borne services differently.

PW Direction

Bidirectional, Unidirectional

Display the direction of the PW.

Currently, the static unicast PW should only be bidirectional.

Direction

Bidirectional, Unidirectional

Display the direction of the PW.

Currently, the static unicast PW should only be bidirectional.

PW Ingress Label/Source Port

Example: 35

Display the PW ingress label.

PW Ingress Label/Source Port indicates the label that enters the PW.

PW Egress Label/Sink Port

Example: 36

Display the PW egress label.

PW Outgoing LabelPW Egress Label/Sink Port indicates the label that exits the PW.

Tunnel Selection Mode

Auto Select, Manually

In the Manuallymode, you need to set manually the tunnel for carrying a PW.

In the Auto Selectmode, the Web LCT selects automatically the tunnel for carrying a PW based on the tunnel priority set in Tunnel Selectiontab.

Tunnel Type

MPLS, IP, GRE

Displays the type of the tunnel that carries the PW.
NOTE:

When you set PW Encapsulation Type to UDP, you can set Tunnel Type to IP only.

PW Encapsulation Type

MPLS

Sets the PW encapsulation type. When the PW Encapsulation Type is set to MPLS, the MPLS, IP, and GRE tunnels are supported.

Tunnel

Example: 5(5)

Select a created tunnel. If no tunnel is available, creation of a PW fails.

Peer LSR ID

Example: 10.70.71.123

Set the opposite LSR ID of the PW.

Reverse Tunnel

Example: 3

Select the reverse tunnel.

Bandwidth Limit

Enabled, Disabled

Display the bandwidth limit of the PW.

If Bandwidth Limit is enabled, Committed Information Rate and Peak Information Rate can be set.

CIR (kbit/s)

64 to 10000000

Display the committed information rate of the PW.

CBS (bytes)

-

This parameter is not supported.

PIR (kbit/s)

64 to 10000000

Display the peak information rate of the PW.

PBS (bytes)

-

This parameter is not supported.

EXP

None, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Display the ingress PW priority.

The number 7 indicates the highest priority.

LSP Mode

Uniform, Pipe

Display the LSP mode.
  • Uniform: The CoS of user packets should be recovered when the tunnel label is stripped.
  • Pipe: The CoS of user packets need not be recovered when the tunnel label is stripped.

When the direction of the PW is Egress, you can set the LSP mode.

Control Word

No Use, Preferred Use,

Display the control word of the PW.

Required VLAN

Example: 1-4095

Default: not specified

Display the required VLAN.
  • In the case of a static PW, the required VLAN indicates the VLAN tag attached during the PW encapsulation.
  • In the case of a dynamic PW, if the local equipment cannot attach the VLAN tag, the opposite equipment should attach the VLAN tag during the PW encapsulation.

Max.Concatenated Cell Count

Example: 10

Display the maximum concatenated cell count of the ATM service.

Packet Loading Time (us)

Example: 1000

Display the packet loading time of packets.

The packet loading time of packets can improve the encapsulation efficiency.

Policy

Example: 2(Voice)

Selects the QoS policy of the PW.

RTP Head

Enabled, Disabled

Display the RTP head.

The RTP head is used to load the clock signals.

Jitter Compensation Buffering Time (us)

Example: 5000

Display the jitter compensation buffering time.

The jitter compensation buffering time ensures that the CES services are in real time.

Ingress Clock Mode

Adaptive Clock Mode, Linear Clock Mode, Null

Display the ingress clock mode.

The clock mode ensures that the CES service can be correctly restored at the sink.

Egress Clock Mode

This parameter is not supported.

Control Channel Type

None, CW, Alert Label

Display the control channel type.

VCCV Verification Mode

None, Ping

Display the VCCV verification mode.

Enable CES Service Alarm Transparent Transmission

Enabled, Disabled

Enables or disables the alarm transparent transmission of a CES service.

If the alarm transparent transmission of a CES service is enabled, the fault is notified to the remote equipment and an alarm is reported when the AC side of a corresponding service is faulty.

Threshold of Entering R Bit Inserting Status

1 to 65535

Specifies the threshold of entering the R bit inserting state.

An alarm is generated when the number of continuous lost packets exceeds the threshold.

Threshold of Exiting R Bit Inserting Status

1 to 65535

Specifies the threshold of exiting the R bit inserting state.

The alarm is cleared when the number of packets that the NE continuously received exceeds the threshold.

Sequence Number Mode

Standard mode, Huawei mode

  • The standard mode is applicable to the network consisting of devices from Huawei and other manufacturers.
  • The Huawei mode is applicable to the network consisting of only Huawei devices.

Protection Mode

PW Redundancy, PW Backup, PW APS Protection, Dual-homing protection for CEs of symmetric access

Display the mode of PW protection.

Protection Group ID

1 to 44294967295

Set the Protection Group ID.

Switchover Mode

Single-ended switching, Dual-ended switching

Indicates the switching status of a protection group.

Revertive Mode

Non-Revertive, Revertive

Determines whether the services are restored to the original working PW after the fault is removed.

If Revertive is selected, the services are restored to the working PW. If Non-Revertive is selected, the services are not restored to the working PW.

WTR Time (100ms)

1-12

Specifies the wait-to-restore time of the switching.

WTR time is the period between when the working PW recovers and when the services are restored to the working PW.

Hold-off Time (100ms)

0-100

Specifies the switching delay time.

The switching delay time is the period between when a fault is detected and when the switching occurs.

TPID

1-65535

The TPIDs for the RTN equipment and CX equipment that are interconnected must to be set to a same value.

When the PW Type is set to Ethernet Tagged Mode, the TPID is available.

Working PW ID

For example: 123

Set the ID of working PW.

Protection PW ID

For example: 321

Set the ID of Protection PW.

Protection Type

1+1, 1:1

When the protection type is set to 1:1, the protection PW can carry extra services; when the protection type is set to 1+1, the protection PW cannot carry extra services.

OAM Status

Enabled, Disabled

Indicates and specifies the OAM status.
  • Enabled: OAM-related operations can be performed.
  • Disabled: OAM-related operations cannot be performed.

Detection Method

Manual, Auto-Sensing

Specifies the detection method.
  • Manual: The frequency set by the user is used to test the connectivity of the PW.
  • Auto-Sensing: The frequency of the received packets is used to test the connectivity of the PW.

Detection Packet Type

CV, FFD

CV and FFD are two methods of checking the connectivity of the LSPs. The CV and FFD processes are the same except that CV packets are sent always at a fixed frequency (always 1 frame/s) whereas FFD packets are sent at a user-defined frequency.

Detection Packet Period (ms)

Example: 1000

Indicates and specifies the detection packet period.

If Detection Packet Period is set to FFD, the detection packet period can be set. If Detection Packet Period is set to CV, the detection packet period is always 1000.

CC Packet Interval(ms)

3.33, 10, 100, 1000

Sets and Indicates the interval of transmitting detection packets.

LSR ID to be Received

Example: 10.10.10.1

Specifies the LSR ID on the peer end.

For the MSPW, you need to manually specify the LSR ID of the MS PW sink node.

PW ID to be Received

Example: 11

For the MSPW, you need to manually specify the ID of the PW that is connected to the MS PW sink node.

GAL Enable Status

Enabled, Disabled

Generic associated channel labels (GALs) identify OAM packets, and are disabled by default.

GAL Mode

Y.1711, RFC5586

Indicates the GAL mode that is used to achieve MPLS-TP OAM on NEs. The options are as follows:
  • Y.1711: The NE can interwork with PTN NEs to achieve MPLS-TP OAM.
  • RFC5586: The NE can interwork with RTN and MSTP NEs to achieve MPLS-TP OAM.
