PW MIP

In this user interface, you can set and query the maintenance intermediate point (MIP) parameters of the MPLS-TP PW operation, administration and maintenance (OAM).

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Packet Configuration > MPLS Management > PW Management from the Function Tree. Click the MPLS-TP OAM tab and then the MIP tab.

MS PW ID

Example: 3

Specifies the ID for a multi-segment PW.

Service Type

Ethernet Service, ATM Service, CES Service, PTP Clock Service

Specifies the type of services carried by a multi-segment PW.

MS PW Name

Example: PW

Specifies the name of a multi-segment PW.

MEG ID Type

ICC Based, Customer Based

  • ICC Based: Indicates the MEG ID type defined by the Y.1731 recommendation.
  • Customer Based: Indicates the MEG ID type used for interconnection with equipment from special operators.

The MEG ID Type must be the same at the source and the sink ends.

MEG ID

Example: 3

Indicates the MEG ID. MEG ID varies with MEG ID Type.

  • When MEG ID Type is set to ICC Based, MEG ID is a character string with letters and numbers, and contains 1 to 13 bytes.
  • When MEG ID Type is set to Customer Based, MEG ID consists of 96 characters that represent 48 hexadecimal numbers. The default value is a character string consisting of 96 zeros. You can set MEG ID to any character strings that consist of only letters (a-f) and digits (0-9).

MIP ID

1 to 8191

Set the ID of the MIP. Only one MIP can be created for an MS-PW. The MIP ID uniquely identifies an MIP.
