NE License Authorization

During new deployments, the U2000 is not installed. Therefore, the cross-connect types of WDM subracks cannot be configured, and services cannot be provisioned. In the NE License Authorization window provided by the U2000 Web LCT, you can set the number of licenses and authorize desired service access functions, which greatly increases device O&M efficiency.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, choose Configuration > NE License Authorization from the navigation tree.

Context

  • The U2000 and U2000 Web LCT both support the NE license authorization function.
  • The NE license authorization function provided by the Web LCT affects service provisioning on NEs and does not support value-added or network-level functions.

Application Scenario

When commissioning NEs on the U2000 Web LCT, you can use the NE license authorization function to enable NE licenses. The licenses are not consumed at this time. Then you can deploy the NEs on the U2000 and upload NE data after the NEs are managed by the U2000. The NE licenses then are enabled on the U2000 and start to be consumed.

Guideline

  1. In the NE Explorer, choose Configuration > NE License Authorization from the navigation tree.
  2. Click Query to query license status.
  3. Double-click a cell in the License Status\Number column and set the number of licenses, for example, to 5.
  4. Click OK.
