Fan Attribute

In this user interface, you can query or set the fan speed mode and level.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Fan Attribute from the Function Tree.

Subrack

For example: 0: Master Shelf

Selects the shelf for which you want to set the fan attributes.

Slave shelf depends on the slave shelf that is actually configured on the Web LCT.

NOTE:

The Subrack is supported on the OptiX OSN 9600/9800 series, OptiX OSN 8800 series, OptiX OSN 9560, OptiX OSN 6800 and OptiX OSN 1800 series NEs.

Fan

  • Equipment that supports the master and slave shelf management: shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name
  • Equipment that does not support the master and slave shelf management: slot number-board name

Selects the fan for which you want to set the fan attributes.

NOTE:

The Fan is supported on the OptiX OSN 9600/9800 series, OptiX OSN 8800 series, OptiX OSN 9560,OptiX OSN 1832, OptiX OSN 6800, OptiX OSN 1800 series, OptiX BWS 1600G, OptiX Metro 6100 series and OptiX OSN 1832 NEs.

Fan Speed Mode

Adjustable Speed, Auto Speed

In the Adjustable Speed, you can set the fan speed mode and level. In the Auto Speed, the NE can automatically adjust the fan speed according to the environment.

Fan Speed Level

Stop, Slow, Low, Mid-Low, Mid, Medium, Mid-High, High

Parameter values vary with different products. For detailed parameter values, see the corresponding user interface of the Web LCT.

Comparing with the low speed, the equipment has better heat dissipation at the high speed, but has a louder noise.
