Port Mirroring

In this user interface, you can configure the port mirroring of the Ethernet interface board. Then, you can use the port mirroring to perform packet monitoring, daily maintenance and in-service commissioning.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click a board and choose Configuration > Ethernet Interface Management > Port Mirroring from the Function Tree.

NOTE:

The service mirroring function complies with universal standards followed by the telecommunication industry. When this function is enabled, other devices or instruments that receive mirrored service packets may need to analyze some information of end users' communications based on the requirements for operation and maintenance. Huawei alone is unable to collect or save the content of users' communications. It is suggested that you activate the interception-related functions based on the applicable laws and regulations in terms of purpose and scope of usage. You are obligated to take considerable measures to ensure that the content of users' communications is fully protected when the content is being used and saved.

Guideline

NOTE:

The concatenation port mirroring function is not supported. For example, if VCTRUNK2 port is configured to listen to VCTRUNK1 port, you cannot configure any other ports to listen to VCTRUNK2 port.

Parameters

Field	Value	Description
Board	shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name	Selects a board for port mirroring.
Mirrored Port	For example: PORT4	Displays the mirrored port. It is used to perform packet detection and daily maintenance. NOTE: The mirror listener port should contain no Ethernet service, and has not been aggregated. Do not select a port where services exist from the Mirror Listener Port drop-down list. Otherwise, creating port mirroring fails.
Mirrored Upstream Port	For example: PORT3	Sets the mirrored upstream port.
Mirrored Downstream Port	For example: PORT5	Sets the mirrored downstream port.
