NE Power

In this user interface, you can query the power consumption of NEs.

Navigation Path

Choose Configuration > NE Batch Configuration > Power Management from the main menu (traditional style); alternatively, double-click Fix-Network NE Configuration in Application Center and choose Configuration > NE Batch Configuration > Power Management from the main menu (application style). Select the NE Power tab.

NOTE:

See the Hardware Description of related NEs for details about the engineering survey requirements of NE Power Consumption Threshold(W).

Description

Query

After you query the power consumption of an NE, if the power consumption exceeds the threshold, you need to configure energy conservation for the NE in a timely manner.

  • If a column is not set filter criteria, this filter icon appears after you rest the pointer on a column header (except the No. parameter).
  • If a column has been set filter criteria, the filter button is always displayed on the right of the parameter name (except the No. parameter).
  • Sets filter criteria to filter related values. In the dialog box that is displayed after you click this icon, you can set filter criteria using either of the following two methods:
    • Click the first option button and select a criterion from the drop-down list.
    • Click the second option button, select Contains or Does Not Contain from the drop-down list, and enter keywords in the text box.

Parameters

Field

Value

Description

No.

Example: 1

Indicates the serial number of the NE equipment.

NE/Shelf Name

Example: NE732

Indicates the name of the monitored unit (NE or Shelf). For the WDM equipment, the monitor unit is the shelf; for the non-WDM equipment, the monitored unit is the NE.

NE/Shelf Type

For example: RTN900

Indicates the type of the equipment.

NE Power Consumption Threshold(W)

Values vary with the NE version. For details, see the Hardware Description of related NEs.

The NE power consumption threshold is a default value that is a bit smaller than the maximum power consumption of the NE.

NOTICE:

NEs may consume too much power and stop working if this parameter is set to a value greater than the maximum NE power consumption.

NE Nominal Power Consumption(W)

Example: 777.000

Indicates the total nominal power consumption of all boards on the NE.

NE Current Power Consumption(W)

Example: 716.000

Indicates the actual power consumption when the NE runs. It is computed based on the actual voltage and current.

NE Mean Power Saved(W)

Example: 61.000

Indicates the mean power saved for an NE. This parameter is dynamically changed. It indicates the power saved when the energy saving function is enabled during a period.

NOTE:
In the case of different boards on different equipment, different parameters are supported. According to the corresponding user interface of the NMS, the GUI Reference table lists the whole set of parameters in this user interface of the NMS.
