Clock Source Switching

In this user interface, you can query the clock source switching status and perform clock source switching.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, choose Configuration > Clock > Physical Layer Clock > Clock Source Switching. Click the Clock Source Switching tab.
In the NE Explorer, choose an board and select Clock > Physical Clock > Clock Source Switching. Click the Clock Source Switching tab.

NOTE:

The parameters available for configuration vary with the type of equipment.

Shortcut Menu

Item	Description
Lock	Prevents a certain channel of clock source from switching. The switching of clock source is not allowed if the clock source in the lock status.
Unlock	Clears the lockout status.
Forced Switching	Forces the clock source to switch from the available clock source with the higher priority to the available clock source with the lower priority regardless of the available clock source with the lower priority status.
Manual Switching	Performs manual switching from the available clock source with the higher priority to the available clock source with the lower priority. If the available clock source with the lower priority is normal, the switching takes place. If the available clock source with the lower priority fails , the switching does not take place.
Clear Switching	Clear the switching status.

Parameters

Field	Value	Description
Clock Source	For example: Internal Clock Source	Displays the configured clock source.
Current Status	Valid, Invalid	Decides whether the clock source is valid or invalid. For query only.
Lock Status	Lock, Unlock	Sets whether the switching operation is enabled.
Switching Source	For example: Internal Clock Source	Displays the switched clock source that the NE is tracing.
Switching Status	Forced Switching, Manual Switching, Normal	Displays the switching status of clock source.
