Phase-Locked Source Output by External Clock

In this user interface, you can set the external clock source attributes of the 2M phase-locked source. You can set the output mode, output timeslot, output threshold, failure condition and failure action of the 2M phase-locked source external clock.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click an NE and choose Configuration > Clock > Physical Clock > Phase-Locked Source Output by External Clock from the Function Tree.

NOTE:
This function only works when the parameter Enabled Status of a pair of interfaces is set as Disabled in the same time. For example, choose Configuration > Clock > Port Cascading from the Function Tree, and set Enabled Status as Disabled on both External Time Interface -1 and External Time Interface -1 of a board.

Parameter Description

Table 1 Parameters for phase-locked source output by external clock

Parameter

Value

Description

2M Phase-Locked Source Number

External Clock Source 1, External Clock Source 2

Displays the serial numbers of the output external clock sources of an NE.

Indicates the numbering IDs of the outputs from external clock sources.

External Clock Output Mode

2MHz, 2Mbit/s

Default: 2Mbit/s

Specifies whether to set the clock signal output mode of the external source.

External Clock Output Timeslot

SA4, SA5, SA6, SA7, SA8, ALL

Specifies whether to set the timeslot occupied by SSM in the output 2M clock signal.

For example, if the value is SA4, the SSM is transmitted by using the fourth bit among the eight bits in the first timeslot TS0 of the four consecutive even frames. If the value is SA5, the SSM is transmitted by using the fifth bit among the eight bits in the first timeslot TS0 of the four consecutive even frames.

SSM can only be output in 2M Bit/s output mode.

External Source Output Threshold

Threshold Disabled, Not Inferior to G.813 SETS Signal, Not Inferior to G.812 Local Clock Signal, Not Inferior to G.812 Transit Clock Signal, Not Inferior to G.811 Clock Signal

Default: Threshold Disabled

Specifies whether to set the quality standard for external source output and stop outputting clocks when the standard is inferior to the preset threshold.

2M Phase-Locked Source Failure Condition

AIS, LOF, AIS OR LOF, No Failure Condition

Default: No Failure Condition

Specifies whether to set the conditions for judging whether the 2M phase-locked source fails. If AIS is selected, AIS alarm will cause 2M phase-locked source failed.

2M Phase-Locked Source Failure Handling

2M Output S1 Byte Unavailable, Send AIS, Shut Down Output

Default: Shut Down Output

Specifies whether to set the action taken when the 2M phase-locked source fails. When the 2M phase-locked source fails, external clock output is performed according to the parameter setting.

Forced Output Shutdown

Enabled, Disabled

Specifies whether to enable or disable the forced shutdown of outputs.
