Resource Reservation Management(Electrical-layer/Optical-layer)

You can query and set the current resource reservation, to reserve resources on ports and wavelengths for traditional services instead of ASON services. Resource reservation requires manual setting of reserved resources.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose ASON > Resource Reservation Management from the Function Tree.

Port

shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name-port number(port name)

Displays the name of the port.

Wavelength

Wavelength No./Wavelength/Frequency

For example, 4/1530.33/195.900

Displays the wavelength of the port.

Channel

NE name-shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name-port number(port name)-Channel

Displays the name of the channel.

Payload Type

For example, ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU3, ODU4, ODU5G, ODUflex, OCh

Displays the payload type of the channel.

Resource Reservation

Enabled, Disabled

Displays whether the timeslot or wavelength resources on this optical port is reserved for traditional services. If you select Enabled, you need to perform the same configuration at the opposite end.

Timeslots(ODTUk.ts,1-80)

For example: 3

Displays the number of timeslots occupied by an ODUflex trail.

NOTE:
Except the ports on optical layer links that are used to create WDM services on the OTU board, resources on all the other ports can be reserved.
