WDM ASON Trail

In this user interface, you can query the ASON trail information related to an ASON NE. For example, you can query an ASON trail according to its source node, intermediate node, sink node, or the node passed through.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose ASON > WDM ASON Trail from the Function Tree.

Parameters

Field

Value

Description

Query ASON Trail

  • With this node as source
  • With this node as the intermediate node
  • With this node as sink
  • Passing through this node
Default: Passing through this node

Sets the mode of querying an ASON trail.

Name

For example: NE1-NE2-WDM ASON Trail-001

Displays the name of an ASON trail.

Source (Sink) Node

For example: 1.1.1.2

Displays the source or sink node ID.

Source (Sink) Port

shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name-port number(port name)

Displays the source or sink port of an ASON trail.

Source (Sink) Wavelength

Wavelength No./Wavelength/Frequency

For example: 2/1529.16/196.050

Displays the source or sink wavelength that an ASON trail uses.

Index

For example: 9476

Displays the index of a trail.

Type

For example: WDM ASON Trail

Displays the type of a trail.

Class

Diamond, Silver, Copper

Displays the protection type of the WDM ASON trail. There are three types of WDM ASON trails: diamond, silver and copper.
  • Diamond indicates the 1+1 protection service. It is a service featuring 1+1 protection between the source and sink nodes.
  • Silver indicates the rerouting service. If a trail becomes faulty, it repeatedly reroutes until the rerouting is successful. If the original route is restored during the rerouting, the rerouting stops.
  • Copper indicates the non-protection service. Trail failure or service interruption does not cause rerouting.

Bandwidth Granularity

Lambda

Displays the bandwidth granularity of an WDM ASON trail.

Reroute Lockout

Locked, unlocked

Specifies whether an ASON trail is rerouting locked. If locked, the trail is not rerouted if it is interrupted.

Primary/Secondary Status

Primary, Secondary

Displays whether an ASON trail is the primary or the secondary one.

Updated On

Date/Month/Year Hour:Minute:Second

For example: 09/05/2008 11:18:15

Displays the time when the ASON trail was updated.

Direction

Bidirectional

Bidirectional means both the source and the sink can transmit and receive services. ASON services on the Web LCT support only Bidirectional.

Optical Parameter Constraints Identifier

Enabled, Disabled

The optics parameters contain the OSNR Parameter, PMD, and Chromatic Dispersion.

Displays whether the WDM ASON trail supports configuring optics parameters.

Optical Parameter Constraints

Working/Protection

Positive Working/Negative Working

Displays whether the trail is in the working or protection state.

OSNR Parameter

For example: Invalid

Displays the OSNR parameter state.

Chromatic Dispersion

For example: Invalid

Displays the Chromatic Dispersion parameter state.

PMD

For example: Invalid

Displays PMD parameter state.
