OSPF Protocol Authentication

You can set and query the authentication information for the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol. You can also encrypt the OSPF protocol to ensure the ASON network security.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click the NE and select ASON > OSPF Protocol Management from the Function Tree. Click OSPF Protocol Authentication tab.

Parameters

Field	Value	Description
Port	shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name-port number(port name)	Displays the port of the NE.
Control Interface Type	For example, LOOPBACK	Displays the type of the control interface to distinguish port.
Authentication Mode	Unconfigured, Plain Text Password Authentication, MD5 Encryption Authentication	Sets the authentication type. When you select Plain Text Password Authentication, the authentication password consists of 0-8 characters.
Authentication Key	For example: AOSV100R002	Sets the authentication key.
