You can set a loopback for an Ethernet interface by using the Web LCT. The Ethernet interface loopback is a common fault location method used to test and maintain the Ethernet
board. The Ethernet interface loopback is used to test the fiber connections on the Ethernet board.
Procedure
- In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose from the Function Tree.
Choose External Port.
- Click the Basic Attributes tab.
- Select an Ethernet interface from the list and double-click MAC Loopback or PHY Loopback to choose the loopback mode.
- Click Apply and the Web LCT prompts that this operation may interrupt the service.
- Click OK.
