Controlling Communication Between NE and Web LCT Through Ethernet Port

An NE can be connected to the Web LCT through an Ethernet port. By default, an NE allows access from the Web LCT through an Ethernet port. This operation enables you to query and set the Ethernet access function for an NE.

Context

NOTICE:

This operation may affect the communication between the Web LCT and NEs.

  • It is recommended to use Ethernet access for the U2000 LCT or Web LCT in most cases.
  • If you use the U2000 LCT or Web LCT to initialize NEs or perform download, use Ethernet access.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Communication > Access Control from the Function Tree.
  2. In the Ethernet Access Control area, click Refresh to query the Ethernet access enable status.
  3. Check the Enable Ethernet Access check box and click Apply. The Ethernet access function for the NE is enabled.

    NOTE:

    If you want to disable this function, uncheck the Enable Ethernet Access check box and click Apply.
