Configuring OSI Tunnel

When the OSI-protocol-based third-party equipment needs to transfer information through an IP network that consists of Huawei equipment, you can create a virtual OSI tunnel to transparently transmit the information.

Context

As OSI tunnel is an end-to-end function, configure this function at both ends of a tunnel.

Procedure

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Communication > OSI Management from the Function Tree. Click the OSI Tunnel tab.
Click New. In the Create OSI Tunnel window, set Remote IP Address and LAPD Actor.
NOTE:
LAPD Actor refers to the LAPD role at an end. When setting this parameter, configure different roles for the two ends of a tunnel.
Click OK.
Set the parameters in the LAPD Parameter pane.
NOTE:
Use the same parameter settings for both ends of a tunnel.
Click Apply.
