By viewing the alarms, the network maintainer can know the running status of the network in time. You can view the current or history alarms of the Web LCT, network equipment and services. Meanwhile, you can synchronize, check and
acknowledge these alarms.
Table 1 lists the impacts of the alarm operations on NEs.

Alarm Viewing
You can view the alarms of the equipment and services on the Web LCT to learn the running status of the network or the equipment.
- Viewing current alarms: You can view the networkwide current alarms of all the severity levels.
- Viewing all current alarms of a specified severity level: By clicking the alarm icon on the toolbar, you can conveniently view the networkwide critical, major or minor alarms.
- Viewing alarms of a specified NE: You can select an NE on the NE List to view the current alarms of the selected
object.
- Viewing history alarms: By viewing all the history alarms recorded in the Web LCT, you can know the faults that once occurred
on the NEs and on the Web LCT. This helps in the long-term performance analysis.
Alarm Synchronization
When the communication between the Web LCT and equipment is interrupted and then restored, or when the Web LCT is restarted, you need to synchronize the alarm information to keep the consistency of the alarm data. To synchronize the alarms, the Web LCT compares the alarms in the Web LCT with the alarms in the NE. If the alarm data is inconsistent, the Web LCT uploads the NE alarm data to the Web LCT database and overwrites the original information. The alarm synchronization
can be performed in the following two ways:
- Manual synchronization: You can specify an alarm in the current alarm browsing window and synchronize it.
- Automatic synchronization: Automatic alarm synchronization will be triggered when the Web LCT starts.
Alarm Filtering
By setting the filter criteria, you can filter out the unconcerned alarms in the alarm browsing window. The filter criteria include:
- Alarm Name
- Generated Time
- Severity Level
- Alarm Type
