If live-network resources change, for example, NEs or optical fibers are added or deleted, existing optical fibers are faulty, and services are added or deleted, resources for rerouting existing ASON trails will change accordingly. ASON network survivability analysis helps network O&M personnel check the survivability of live-network services for network maintenance.

Prerequisites

  • You are user with "Operator Group" authority or higher.
  • The PCE has been deployed on the network with the survivability analysis function.
  • The PCE is in normal status (resources and LSPs have been synchronized).
  • No fault simulation function is working, such as survivability analysis for online service provisioning and resource warning.

Context

The time required for survivability analysis is determined by the network scale, quantity of live-network services, and fault times. The more the fault times are, the longer analysis time is.

When a common survivability analysis is in progress, it will be interrupted if survivability analysis is enabled for online service provisioning.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Service Survivability Analysis from the Function Tree. Click the Service Survivability Analysis tab.
  2. Select one or multiple fields and set Fault Times.

    NOTE:
If you do not select a field, all the supported fields are selected by default.

  3. Click Start Analysis to perform a survivability analysis of live-network ASON services.
  4. Optional: View the ASON network survivability analysis report on the U2000 server.
