Setting Control Plane Parameters

You can set the control plane parameters of an ASON NE. The parameters contain the custom cost weight, the bandwidth load, bandwidth weight, distance weight, and hop weight. The control plane parameters and the correspond parameters of TE link will affect the route calculation result.

Prerequisites

The ASON NE must be created and configured.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose ASON > Control Plane Parameters from the Function Tree.
  2. For an ASON whose ASON version is USP V100R010 or later, choose the Electrical Layer or Optical Layer to set the control plane parameters for different domain.
  3. Click Query to query the route computation policy from the NE.
  4. Click Route Strategy and choose a mode from the drop-down list.

    NOTE:
    • It is recommended that you choose Integrated Constraint Mode.
    • You set the parameter of route strategy as you need in Custom Mode.
    • Only an ASON NE whose ASON version is USP V100R005 or later support custom cost weight.
    • Only an ASON NE whose ASON version is USP V100R010 or later support electrical/optical layer control plane parameters.
