Configuring a Single-Hop Microwave Link

Perform this task to configure basic attributes for the local and remote NEs of a single-hop microwave link. RTN 900 series NEs are used as an example.

Prerequisites

  • The IF boards and the ODUs to which the IF boards are connected have been added in NE Panel.

  • The microwave link must be created.

  • Unlike other operations in the NE Explorer, the HOP management involves multiple NEs. Hence, it requires that you have logged in to NEs at both ends of links.

Context

In the Main Topology, you can right-click a microwave link and choose HOP Management from the shortcut menu, then configure the parameters of the microwave link select Configuration > Microwave Link Configuration in the function tree.

NOTE:

The settings of some key parameters are associated between the two NEs to avoid disconnection of microwave links caused by inconsistent parameter settings between them.

Procedure

  1. Select the NE in the NE Explorer. Click the Radio Link Configuration tab.
  2. Select an IF board from the drop-down list. The basic information of the radio link connected to the IF board is displayed.

    NOTE:
