After modifying the NE ID, you can modify the IP address of an NE based on the engineering planning. Modifying the IP address of an NE does not affect services, but modifying the IP address of a gateway NE affects the communication between
the Web LCT and the NEs.
Prerequisites
The user must log in to the NE.
Procedure
- Select the NE from the Object Tree in the NE Explorer. Choose from the Function Tree.
- Set the IP.

- Click Apply.
A dialog box is displayed.
- Click OK. A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation affects services.
- Click OK.

- If the NE is planned as the gateway NE, the NE IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway must comply with the requirements for planning the external DCN.
- If the NE is planned as a non-gateway NE, the IP addresses of other NEs should be set according to the NE IDs. In this case, the IP address should be set to 0x81000000 + NE ID. That is, if the NE ID is 0x090001, the IP address should be set to
129.9.0.1.

Follow-up Procedure
After the IP address of the NE is changed, you need to log in to the NE again.
