After NEs are connected to the U2000 Web LCT through USB ports, users can access the NEs directly through USB ports without searching for the NE IP addresses. The U2000 Web LCT can manage and configure NEs through USB ports.
The serial port of the computer where the U2000 runs has been connected to the OAM port of an NE with a serial cable. If the computer does not have a serial port, use a USB-serial cable and correct drive program.
OAM access, an NE access control function, is enabled on the device.
A CSHU or CSHUA board has been added to an OptiX RTN 950.
The USB drive installation package has been integrated in the Web LCT installation package. That is, the WebLCT\weblct\tools\driver directory in the U2000 Web LCT installation directory contains the xrusbser_x86_1800_installer.exe file.
The default OAM access status applied to NEs is enabled. If it is disabled, choose from the navigation tree of the NE Explorer and select the Enable OAM Access check box in the right pane.

If the USB drive has been installed, open the Device Manager where USB ports are displayed as virtual COM ports.

If the USB drive has not been installed, click the link to install it by following the provided instructions.
