Microwave Link ID

Description

The Microwave Link ID parameter indicates the link ID of an IF port. This parameter is designed to prevent sites from being wrongly connected.

Impact on the System

If the actually received link ID on a local port is not the same as the expected link ID, the local end inserts an AIS signal in the downstream direction of the services and also reports the microwave link ID mismatch alarm to the U2000 Web LCT.

Configuration Guidelines

You can set the link ID of a single microwave port to a value within the range of 1 to 4094. You, however, need to set the link IDs of the two microwave ports that communicate with each other directly through microwave signals to the same value.

Relationship with Other Parameters

When an IF 1+1 protection group is configured, the link ID of the IF port on the active IF board is dually fed to the active and standby IF boards. Hence, the actually sent link ID of the IF port on the standby IF board is the same as the link ID configured for the active and standby IF boards.

When the actually received link ID on an IF port is not the same as the expected link ID, the ODU cannot perform ATPC adjustment.
