NE Explorer (VRP V8)

In this user interface, you can manage an NE that is based on the VRP V8 platform.

NOTE:
You can view the meaning of each parameter on the U2000 Web LCT. After you click a parameter in the Customize Column, Modify, or Create dialog box, its meaning is displayed in the lower pane. If a meaning is too long to be displayed completely, place the cursor over the meaning. An infotip will pop up with the complete meaning.

Description

IP Protocol Management

ARP

Static ARP Configuration

The ARP entry stores the mapping between the latest obtained IP addresses and MAC addresses. With the ARP entry, NEs can forward packets efficiently.

Users query and set the static ARP attributes of virtual private networks (VPNs), that is, the mapping between IP addresses and MAC addresses.

Query ARP Entries

Queries ARP entries.

ARP Statistics

Queries ARP packet statistics.

DHCP

Global Attribute

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a protocol running between a client and a server. The DHCP client dynamically requests network configurations (such as IP addresses, subnet masks, and default gateways), and the DHCP server returns these configurations according to the routing policy.

If the DHCP server and client reside in different network segments, DHCP relay is used to forward packets. In this way, DHCP servers do not need to be deployed in each network segment, which reduces costs and facilitates centralized management.

DHCP Relay Interface Instance

Queries and configures DHCP relay interfaces.

Route Management

BGP

Global Attribute

Queries and sets global Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) attributes.

NOTE:

BGP is a dynamic routing protocol used between autonomous systems (ASs).

BGP Instance

Queries and configures BGP instances, BGP peers, and address family instances.

BGP Peer Information

Queries and configures BGP peers.

Address Family Instance

Queries and configures address family instances, peer address families, protocol route import, and routing information.

Peer Address Family Information

Queries and configures peer address families.

Imported Route

Queries and configures protocol route import.

Route Information

Queries and configures routing information.

ISIS

ISIS Instance

To use dynamic Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) tunnels, IGP IS-IS must be configured. IGP is short for Interior Gateway Protocol and IS-IS is short for Intermediate System to Intermediate System. IGP IS-IS is mainly used to discover network topologies. It enables each NE to learn neighbor information.

Multi-Topology

Queries and configures IS-IS multi-topology information.

Route Management

Address Family

By performing route management, you can manage and maintain address families, topology relationships, and routing tables.

Topology

Queries and configures topology information.

Base Route

Queries and configures the table of basic routes.

Static Route

Configuration of Static Routes

After route options are preset in a network, data is forwarded between NEs or between the U2000 Web LCT server and routers.

Table of Static Routes

Queries the table of static routes.

Route Policy

Routing Policy

Queries and configures the names of and nodes in routing policies.

With a routing policy, you can filter and set routes and change the path that network traffic passes by changing route attributes (including reachability). In addition, by setting a routing policy, you can import routes of different protocol types so that different routes can connect to each other.

Routing Policy Node

Queries and configures the nodes in routing policies.

Extended Community Filter

Queries and configures the extended community filters, extended community filter nodes, and advanced extended community filter nodes.

Advanced extended community filter nodes support the match mode and regular expression attributes.

RD Filter

Queries and configures RD filters and RD filter nodes.

Queries and configures IPv4 prefix filters and IPv4 prefix filter nodes.

OSPF

OSPF Instance

Queries and configures Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) instances.

OSPF is a link-state hierarchical interior gateway protocol (IGP) for network routing.

Tunnel Management

Common Tunnel

Tunnel Policy

VPNs use the tunnel topology to establish a private data transmission channel in backbone networks to transparently transmit packets.

Tunnel Protocol

Queries tunnel types.

VPN Management

L3VPN

VPN Instance

MPLS L3VPN is a PE-based L3VPN technology in the VPN solution of service providers. It uses BGP to advertise VPN routes and uses MPLS to forward VPN packets over the service providers' backbone networks.

VPN Address Family

Queries and configures VPN address families, RT attributes, routing entries, and tunnel information.

Reliability Management

BFD

Global Attribute

Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) is a detection mechanism used networkwide to monitor and rapidly detect the connectivity of network-wide links.

BFD Session Configurations

Configures BFD sessions.

All BFD Sessions

Queries all BFD sessions.

Control Plane Configuration

Ping And Traceroute

Ping

In this user interface, you can configure the general parameters of the ping and traceroute functions.
