Description

Browse Performance

Displays the performance browse window and you can query the current performance date and historical performance data.

Clear

Clears switching for the selected board.

Force to Protection

Forces the service to switch from the working board to the protection board. This switching is performed regardless of the protection board state, unless the protection board is satisfying a higher priority bridging request.

Force to Working

Forces services to switch from the protection board to the working board. This switching is performed regardless of the working board state, unless the working board is satisfying a higher priority bridging request.

Manual to Protection

Performs manual switching from the working board to the protection board. If the protection board is normal, the switching takes place. If the protection board fails or must satisfy a switching request of higher priority, the switching does not take place.

Manual to Working

Performs manual switching from the protection board to the working board. If the working board is normal, the switching takes place. If the working board fails or must satisfy a switching request of higher priority, the switching does not take place.

Lockout of Protection

The switching request for the board is denied, but the reversion of switching is allowed.

Query Switch Status

Queries the current protection switching status from the NE.

Parameter Description

Table 1 Parameters for RTN 310, RTN 380 and RTN 905 (subrack type: III)

Parameter

Value

Description

Protection Group ID

1

Indicates the protection group ID.

NOTE:
Only one protection group can be created.

Service Protection Type

LAG Mode, Split Mode

Indicates the service protection mode of the NE.
  • If this parameter is set to LAG Mode, a link aggregation group (LAG) is required, and one or two GE services can be protected.
  • If this parameter is set to Split Mode, no LAG is required, and only one service can be protected.

Working Mode

HSB, SD, FD

Selects the working mode for the IF 1+1 protection group.
  • In the 1+1 HSB protection mode, the equipment provides a 1+1 hot standby configuration for the IF board and ODU at the two ends of each hop of a microwave link to realize the protection.
  • In the 1+1 FD protection mode, the system uses two channels that have a frequency spacing between them, to transmit and receive the same signal. The opposite end selects signals from the two received signals. With the 1+1 FD protection, the impact of the fading on signal transmission is reduced.
  • In the 1+1 SD protection mode, the system uses two antennas that have a space distance between them, to receive the same signal. The equipment selects signals from the two received signals. With the 1+1 SD protection, the impact of the fading on signal transmission is reduced.
  • The 1+1 FD protection mode and 1+1 SD protection mode are compatible with the 1+1 HSB switching function.
  • Set this parameter according to the planning information.

Revertive Mode

Revertive, Non-Revertive

Default: Revertive

Specifies whether to switch back to the original working service after removing the fault. Select Revertive to switch back to the working service, or select Non-Revertive not to switch back to the working service any longer.
  • When this parameter is set to Revertive, the NE that is in the switching state releases the switching and enables the former working channel to return to the normal state some time after the former working channel is restored to normal.
  • When this parameter is set to Non-Revertive, the NE that is in the switching state keeps the current state unchanged unless another switching occurs even though the former working channel is restored to normal.

WTR Time (s)

300 to 720

Default: 600

Sets the wait-to-restore time. Refer to the period of time starting when it is detected the working board returns to normal and ending when the working board is switched back after the protection switching.
  • This parameter is valid only when Revertive Mode is set to Revertive.
  • When the time after the former working channel is restored to normal reaches the set wait-to-restore (WTR) time, a revertive switching occurs.
  • It is recommended that you use the default value.

Fiber Length(m)

1 to 300

Sets the fiber length.

NOTE:
In 1+1 protection, the delay varies with the fiber length. NEs in 1+1 protection can determine an appropriate offset based on the fiber length between them.

Enable Reverse Switching

Enabled, Disabled

Default: Enabled

When both the main IF board and the standby IF board at the sink end report service alarms, they send the alarms to the source end by using the MWRDI overhead in the microwave frame. When this parameter at the source end is set to Enable and the reverse switching conditions are met, the IF 1+1 protection switching occurs at the source end.
  • This parameter is valid only when Working Mode is set to HSB or SD.
  • In 1+1 FD mode, this parameter is read-only and its default value is Disabled.
  • It is recommended that you use the default value.
