Microwave Link Loopback

In the user interface, you can view or set the loopback status of the IF interface or ODU interface at the two ends of a microwave link to locate equipment faults.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select the NE and choose Diagnosis&Maintenance > Microwave Link Loopback from the Function Tree.
In the Main Topology, right-click a microwave link and choose Microwave Link Loopback from the shortcut menu.

NOTICE:

As a loopback interrupts services, it is only used for fault location and must be released after the fault is removed.

Parameters

Field	Value	Description
PORT	For example: 6-IFE2-1(IF-1)(IF loopback)	Displays the port name.
Inloop	Checked, Unchecked	For an IF interface, when an inloop is used, the IF service transmitted by NE is returned to the cross-connect board at the IF interface. An inloop can be used to test the IF board service processing module and the cross-connect board. For the ODU interface, when an inloop is used, the RF service transmitted by NE is returned to the cross-connect board at the ODU interface. An inloop can be used to test the ODU service processing module and the cross-connect board.
Outloop	Checked, Unchecked	For an IF interface, when an outloop is used, the IF service received by NE is returned at the IF interface. An outloop can be used to test the IF interface and the fibers or cables connected to the IF interface. For the ODU interface, when an outloop is used, the RF service received by an NE is returned at the ODU interface. An outloop can be used to test the ODU interface and the RF link connected to the ODU board.
