Packet Header Analysis

In this user interface, you can collect header data for diagnosing complex network faults.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, choose Diagnosis&Maintenance > Packet Header Analysis from the navigation tree.

Guideline

You are an NMS user with "Administrators" authority.

The packet header analysis function can be used to collect header data for diagnosing complex network faults.

NOTE:
  • The U2000 only collects packet header data for administrators. It does not analyze or process packet headers or services.
  • Packet header analysis must be manually enabled by administrators.
  • Packet headers of Layer 2 Service and Layer 3 Service cannot be collected at the same time.

Packet header analysis applies to the IF and packet boards of the OptiX RTN 950N, OptiX RTN 905E, and OptiX RTN 950A.
