In this interface, you can set parameters for the traceroute test, start the traceroute test and stop the traceroute test.

Navigation Path

For RTN NEs, in the NE Explorer, click the NE and choose Configuration > MPLS Management > PW Management from the Function Tree. Then, click the PW OAM Parameters tab and choose OAM Operation > Traceroute Test.

Description

Start Test

Starts the traceroute test.

Stop Test

Stops the traceroute test.

Parameter Description

Table 1 Parameters for traceroute tests

Parameter

Value

Description

EXP Value

0 to 7

Indicates the EXP value.

The packet priority increases with the EXP value.

TTL

1 to 255

Set the TTL.

Packet Length

89 to 1400

Indicates the length of packets (step: 4).

Response Timeout Time (10ms)

1 to 6000

Indicates the wait-to-response timeout time.
NOTE:
Different NEs support the different ranges of wait-to-response timeout time. When the value exceeds the range, an error message is displayed.

Response Mode

No Response, IPv4 UDP Response, Application Control Channel

Indicates the response mode.

Test Result

Character string

Indicates the test result.

PW ID

Example: 1

Indicates the PW ID.

Replier

Example: 1.1.12.238

Indicates the LSR ID of the replier.

Delay(us)

Example: 3799

Indicates the delay in response.

Type

STPE, SPE, TTPE

Indicates the node type. The options are as follows:
  • STPE: source node
  • SPE: switching node
  • TTPE: sink node

Downstream LSR ID

Example: 1.1.12.238

Indicates the downstream LSR ID.

If there is no downstream LSR ID, the value will be none.

Downstream Label

Example: 25

Indicates the downstream label.

If there is no downstream label, the value will be none.

Return Code

  • No return code
  • Malformed echo request received
  • One or more of the TLVs was not understood
  • Replying router is an egress for the FEC at stack-depth
  • Replying router has no mapping for the FEC at stack-depth
  • Downstream Mapping Mismatch
  • Upstream Interface Index Unknown
  • Reserved
  • Label switched at stack-depth
  • Label switched but no MPLS forwarding at stack-depth
  • Mapping for this FEC is not the given label at stack-depth
  • No label entry at stack-depth
  • Protocol not associated with interface at FEC stack-depth
  • Premature termination of ping due to label stack shrinking to a single label

Indicates the code returned during the test.

Test Result

  • Response
  • Overtime

Indicates the test result.
