Ping Test

In this interface, you can set parameters for the PW ping test, start the ping test and stop the ping test.

Navigation Path

For RTN NEs, in the NE Explorer, select the NE and choose Configuration > MPLS Management > PW Management from the Function Tree. ChoosePW OAM Parameterstab.Right-click a PW and choose PW Ping Test from the shortcut menu.

Buttons

Button	Description
Start Test	Starts the ping test.
Stop Test	Stops the ping test.

Parameters

Field	Value	Description
Packet Count	Example: 3	Sets the count of packets.
EXP Value	0 to 7	Sets the EXP value. The packet priority increases with the EXP value.
TTL	1 to 255	Sets the time to live (TTL).
Transmit Interval (10ms)	1 to 1000	Sets the interval of transmitting packets. NOTE: Different NEs support the different ranges of transmit interval. When the value exceeds the range, an error message is displayed.
Packet Length	65 to 1400	Sets the length of packets.
Response Timeout Time (10ms)	1 to 6000	Sets the wait-to-response timeout time. NOTE: Different NEs support the different ranges of wait-to-response timeout time. When the value exceeds the range, an error message is displayed.
Response Mode	No Response, IPv4 UDP Response, Application Control Channel	Sets the response mode.
Test Result	Character string	Displays the test result.
