Intersecting Node

Only two intersecting nodes are allowed when two rings intersect. If the rings intersect at more than two nodes, the two nodes with the longest distance between are considered virtual intersecting nodes.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Packet Configuration > MPLS Management > MPLS-TP Shared Protection Ring Management from the Function Tree, click the Intersecting Node tab.

Parameters

Table 1 Descriptions of the parameters for intersecting nodes

Field

Value

Description

Intersecting Node ID

128 to 255

Indicates the ID of a virtual intersecting node when two rings intersect.

Destination Ring ID

Example: 1 to 65535

Indicates the ID of the destination ring when two rings intersect.

Ring ID of Member 1

1 to 127

Indicates the ring node ID of a physical node in a virtual intersecting node. A virtual intersecting node must contain two physical nodes to ensure that services can reach the destination ring when a physical node is faulty.

Ring ID of Member 2

1 to 127

Indicates the ring node ID of the other physical node in the virtual intersecting node.

Deployment Status

Deployed, Undeployed

  • Deployed: Indicates that the configuration data of the virtual intersecting node has been applied to NEs.
  • Undeployed: Indicates that the configuration data of the virtual intersecting node has not been applied to NEs.
