Global OAM Parameters

In this user interface, you can set and query global OAM parameters.

Navigation Path

For RTN NEs, in the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > MPLS Management > Basic Configuration from the function tree. Click the Global OAM Parameters tab.

Parameter Description

Table 1 Global OAM parameters

Parameter

Value

Description

Default OAM Recommendation

MPLS OAM(Y.1711), MPLS-TP OAM(Y.1731)

Indicates the default OAM recommendation of an NE.

If the tunnel or PW OAM standard is not specified, the created tunnels or PWs will use Default OAM Recommendation.

Carrier ID

Example: zx1234

Indicates the carrier ID. A carrier ID is a six-byte character string consisting of only letters and digits (a-z; A-Z; 0-9). The Carrier ID must be unique.

Port AIS Status

Enabled, Disabled

Enables or disables the reporting of client trail alarms caused by server trail faults. The AIS is a type of fault signal between NEs. If the AIS function is enabled, alarms are only generated at the server layer not at the client layer when faults occur at the server layer. For example, when faults occur in ports, AIS packets will be sent and AIS alarms will be generated at the tunnel layer.

Channel Type

0~0xffff

Default: 7F FA

Indicates the OAM type in protocol packets.

CSF Status

Enabled, Disabled

Enables or disables the client signal fail (CSF) function. If this function is enabled, CSF packets will be sent to the remote end when services at the local end are faulty, and the remote end reports CSF alarms after receiving the CSF packets. Currently, this function applies only to E-Line services on PTN equipment.
