Remote Loopback Test

In this user interface, you can perform remote loopback test.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click the NE and select Configuration > ATM OAM Management from the Function Tree. Click the Remote Loopback Test tab.

Cautions

For end-to-end loopback, the end points must be set at the two ends of the test domain. After the test, the end points must be canceled so that the whole link is restored to the pretest status.
For segment loopback, the segment points must be set at the two ends of the test domain. After the test, the segment points must be canceled so that the whole link is restored to the pretest status.
When the service type of the ATM service is the UNIs-NNI, you can set the Segment and End Attribute for Source. When the service type of the ATM service is UNI-UNI, you can set the Segment and End Attribute for Source and Sink.

Parameters

Field	Value	Description
Source	Slot-Board-Port-VPI-VCI	Source node.
Sink	UNI-UNI: Slot-Board-Port-VPI-VCI UNIs-NNI: PW(type)-VPI-VCI	Sink node. The sinks vary with different ATM service types on the equipment.
Connection Direction	Sink, Source	It is aimed at one termination point. As shown in the following diagram, the source and sink directions of point B are:
Segment and End Attribute	Segment point, Endpoint	Sets segment endpoint attribute.
Loopback Point NE	Character string	The NE set as loopback point.
Test Result	Character string	Displays the test result. If the test fails, an error code is displayed, and failure cause is given. If the test succeeds, a successful test is prompted. The loopback test result can be queried on the events of the U2000 Web LCT.
