Performing IP Address-based Ping Tests

You can ping the IP address of an third-party NE from Huawei NE to check their connection status. The ping result contains information such as packet loss and delay, which helps you ascertain the live network status.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Communication > IP Protocol Stack Management.
  2. Click the IP Route Management tab, click Reachability Test and choose Ping Test.
  3. Set parameters in the Ping Test dialog box.

  4. Click Start Test. The result is displayed in Test Result.
