NE List

NE List is the main user interface of the Web LCT. The Web LCT manages NEs in the NE List. In this user interface, you can create, search or delete NEs. You can log in to or log out an NE. You can also open the NE Explorer.

Buttons

Button	Description
NE Search	Displays the Search NE dialog box.
Modify NE ID	Displays the Modify NE ID dialog box.
Set Charset	Sets the character set for the NE.
Add NE	Displays the Add NE dialog box. You can choose Europe or North America for NE creation.
Delete NE	Deletes the selected NEs.
NE Login	Displays the NE Login dialog box.
NE Logout	Changes the status of the selected NE to unlogged.
Back Up NE Database	Choose how to back up NE Database.
Restore NE Database	Restore the NE database from the database file that is already backed up.
NE Explorer	Displays the NE Explorer user interface.
Switch to NM Mode	This button applies only to the NE that are directly connected to the computer of the WebLCT by a USB. Click Switch to NM Mode, the system prompts you the precautions handling of the switch to NM mode.

Parameters

NE ID	Displays the NE ID format: Extended ID-ID For example: 9-127	Uniquely identifies the NE. The Web LCT recognizes the NE by NE ID.
NE Name	For example: NE127	Displays the equipment name of the Web LCT.
Gateway	GNE,- - -	Displays whether the NE is a gateway NE or not.
Equipment Type	For example: OSN6800, OSN3800, RTN610, RTN620, RTN605, SLM1630	Displays the product name.
Alarm Status	Unknown, Normal, Critical, Major, Minor, Warning	Displays the highest severity level of current alarms on the Web LCT.
Gateway Type	IP Gateway, Serial Port, SSL Gateway, USB	Displays the type of the GNE that is used for the communication between the NE and the Web LCT.
Gateway IP Address	For example: 129.9.0.2	Displays the IP address of the GNE that the NE corresponds to. The IP GNE corresponds to the IP address and the serial port corresponds to the port numbers of COM1 through COM32.
Communication Status	Normal, Abnormal	Indicates whether the communication between the NE and the Web LCT is normal.
Login Status	Logged In, Not Logged In	Indicates whether the NE is logged in to the Web LCT.
Charset	GBK, OSI8859-1, UTF-8	Displays the character set of the NE.

Searching for NEs
In this user interface, you can specify the search domain, such as the network segment and the IP address of the GNE, and search the information of NEs that reside in the search domain but are not added. By using the search NE function, you can also create NEs in batches on the U2000 Web LCT.
Add NE
You can use the Add NE function to set the NE attributes and create NEs on the Web LCT.
NE Login
You can use the NE login function to set the user name and password of an NE and log in to the Web LCT from an NE that was in the Unlogged state.
NE Explorer
NE Explorer is the main operation user interface for you to manage the OptiX equipment. It regards one NE as an object. In this user interface, you can configure, manage and maintain the NEs in different levels such as on a per-NE basis, on a per-board basis or on a per-port basis. It is the primary user interface for NE commissioning and configuration on the Web LCT. The NE Explorer provides the Function Tree for operation navigation. You can select an object on which you want to perform the operation, choose the corresponding function item from the Function Tree and the configuration user interface of the function is displayed.
Operation Log
You can view the information of operations that the NE user performed on the Web LCT and the equipment and the operation results in the log.
Time Format Setting
You can set the format of the time displayed on the Web LCT client.
Modify NE ID
Modify the NE ID.
Changing Password
You can change the passwords of the Web LCT users.
