Setting Test Parameters for a Line
Test parameters for lines determine test indicators such as the size of test scope, size of dead zone, and distinguishability of events. Before performing out-of-service tests on a line, set test parameters for the line based on test requirements. The test parameters include pulse width, sampling attempts, sampling frequency, and detection optical power.
Starting a Comparison Test in Single-Test Mode
The submarine communication system enters the routine maintenance state after you finish deployment, recover a fault, or re-obtain the baseline data. During the routine maintenance of submarine lines, you can observe the status of the lines by starting a comparison test. A comparison test automatically uses the same test parameters as the parameters for the current line test baseline, to generate an accurate comparison result, and to provide reference for alerts or alarms. You can start a comparison test in the single-test mode, to observe the current working status of a line at any time and compare the status with the baseline data.
Starting a Manual Test
When you perform a manual test, you can flexibly set the test parameters. The manual test does not provide alert and alarm functions. You can analyze the test data based on your experience and monitor the current status of a line.
Starting a Fast Fault Location Test
When a line is faulty, you can perform a fast fault location test to locate the fault point.
Stopping a Test
If you want to cancel a test or before you start a test of other types, you can stop the out-of-service test that is currently running.
Querying the Line Test Result
A test result is the basis for line monitoring and maintenance. After a test, you can query a line test result to verify the current status of a line according to the test result.
Analyzing the Line Test Data
You can view multiple test records at the same time, and view the event information of a line. By analyzing and comparing the data, you can determine the working state of the line.
Querying a Gain Report
You can query, save, or print the gain of each repeater in the out-of-service mode on a line within a certain period in a report.
Querying an Event Report
You can query, save, or print the type of each event and the locations where the events occur on a line in a report.
