Modifying Lines

You can modify a line to change the line monitoring board, line amplifier board, line selection board, the number of spans, and parameters related to underwater devices on the line.

Prerequisites

The submarine cable line is created.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Submarine Cable Line Management from the Function Tree.
  2. Select a line and click Modify.
  3. In the Modify the Line dialog box, set the attributes.

  4. Click OK.
  5. The line information of the NE is refreshed in the user interface.
  6. Optional: Modify the remarks on the line.
    1. Right-click a new line and choose Modify Remarks from the shortcut menu.
    2. In the Modify Remarks dialog box, enter remarks.
    3. Click OK. The remarks on the line are refreshed in the user interface.
