Configuring the LSU

After creating the topology, you need to configure the parameters for the LSU according to the project requirements. By using the LSUs, the different submarine cable pairs can be monitored at different time.

Prerequisites

The LSU must be installed.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an LSU and choose Configuration > WDM Interface from the Function Tree.

  2. Click By Board/Port (Channel), and select Channel or Board from the drop-down menu. Click Query, and the list of the parameters for each optical port or channel is displayed in the user interface.

    NOTE:
    When you select By Function, you can query and set the parameters for the board and channel according to different functions.

  3. Click the Basic Attributes tab, in the field of the corresponding parameter, you can enter or select the corresponding parameter.
  4. Click Apply. A prompt is displayed. Click OK.
