Creating the Client 1+1 Protection

Client 1+1 protection is created based on client 1+1 protection groups. To create client 1+1 protection, you need to create a client 1+1 protection group for each node.

Background Information

The client 1+1 protection needs to be created at the source and sink NEs to achieve the bidirectional protection.

Procedure

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Port Protection from the Function Tree.
In the Port Protection user interface, click New. click OK. The Port Protection Group Management dialog box displayed.Select Client 1+1 Protection from the Protection Type and enter other parameters of this protection group.
Click OK. A window is displayed. Click OK in the window. The created protection group is displayed in the window.
Optional: Select one protection group and click Query. Then click Modify to set SD Condition and SF Condition in the displayed dialog box and then click OK.
Start the NE Explorer of the opposite NE. Refer to Steps 1 through 3 to create the client 1+1 protection on the opposite NE, to create the reverse protection.
Optional: Select one protection group and click Delete. Click OK on the dialog box displayed. The Operation Result dialog box prompts that the operation is successful. Click Close. The protection group can be deleted.
