Configuring the PRBS Test Status of the Tested Board

Before you performing the PRBS test, configure the PRBS Test Status of the tested boards.

The corresponding OTU boards must be created.

If the PRBS Test Status is enabled, the service-level alarms except for the R_LOS and PRBS_LSS alarms are suppressed, such as the R_LOF alarm.
If the PRBS Test Status is enabled, service-related performance events are suppressed, such as MSUAS, and RSUAS.
After the PRBS Test Status is enabled, do not perform any other operation, such as modifying the service type, opening or closing a laser, or configuring a loopback.
After the PRBS test is complete, stop the test. Then, configure the PRBS Test Status of the board to Disabled.

Performing a PRBS test interrupts services.

In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose Configuration > WDM Interface from the Function Tree.
Select the By Board/Port (Channel) radio button.
Select Channel from the drop-down list.
Select the Advanced Attributes tab. Double-click PRBS Test Status field, and select Enabled.
Click Apply. A prompt appears telling you that the operation was successful. Click Close.
