NE Security Parameters

You can query NE security parameters, including: max. Number of Times to Reuse Expired Passwords, max. Password Age, min. Password Age, and password uniqueness.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Security > NE Security Parameters from the Function Tree.

The NE software version determines parameter values. Different NEs have different values.

Field	Value	Description
NE	For example: NE1	Displays the NE.
Warning Screen Switching	Enabled, Disabled	Specifies whether to enable the warning screen. Click Warning Screen Switching for more information.
Warning Screen Information	This parameter can be random characters, numerals, or a combination of characters and numerals. The maximum length of the parameter is 1500 characters.	After you enable the warning screen, the warning screen information is displayed during user login. Click Warning Screen Information for more information.
Max. Number of Times to Reuse Expired Passwords	For example: 3	Specifies the number of times for which the password can still be used after it expires.
Max. Password Age (days)	For example: 10	Specifies the maximum number of days for which a password can be used.
Min. Password Age (days)	For example: 1	Specifies the minimum number of days for which a password can be used.
Password Uniqueness(Entries)	For example: 0	Indicates the uniqueness of the password. If the value is n, it indicates that the modified password must be different from the passwords used in the latest n times. "0" indicates that the password uniqueness is not required.
Lock Testing Time(minute)	For example: 3	Specifies the time for which the NE will be monitored after being locked out.
Allowable illegal Access Times	For example: 5	Specifies the allowable illegal access times.
Lock Time(second)	For example: 900	Specifies the total time of NE lockout.
