Toolbar Buttons

This topic describes the toolbar buttons in the test data window of the NE Explorer of the submarine line equipment.

Function Description

Position the mouse over the point where you want the zoom to begin

Selects an area and zooms in on the area in the graphical pane.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Zoom out

Zooms out on the picture. Click the button to zoom out on the picture by a factor of 25% each time.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Restore

Restores the picture in the proportion of 1:1.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Customize Zooming

Zooms in or out on the picture by a factor of a customized proportion. The values of Top and Bottom range from -40 to 20 and the unit is dB. The value of Left ranges from 0 to the maximum length of the picture and the unit is km. The value of Right ranges from 300 to the maximum length of the picture and the unit is km.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Hide the event table

Hides the Event List and Repeater Gain Info panes below the graphical pane.

Hide the file tree

Hides the History Test Records pane to the left of the graphical pane.

Hide the parameter area

Hides the Legend and Test Parameters panes to the right of the graphical pane.

Locate to the next event

Vernier A slides to the location of the next event after you click the button. When vernier A is located at the position that is greater than the position of the last event, this button is invalid.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Locate to the previous event

Vernier A slides to the location of the previous event after you click the button. When vernier A is located at the position that is smaller than the position of the first event, this button is invalid.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Customize moving

Sets the coordinates where you want to move curves. If only one curve diagram exists in the graphical pane, this button is invalid.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Change the background color of an image

Sets the background color for the graphical pane.

Restore the background color of an image

Restores the background of the graphical pane to the original color.

When the background is of the original color, this button is grayed out.

Align with cursor A

Aligns the comparison curve and the baseline curve with vernier A. If only the baseline curve or comparison curve exists, this button is invalid.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Align with cursor B

Aligns the comparison curve and the baseline curve with vernier B. If only the baseline curve or comparison curve exists, this button is invalid.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

Draw flatness

Identifies the flatness range of the curves between the two verniers.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

NOTE:

When you perform operations on the test result file, such as open, close, switch, or move, this function is disable automatically.

Change diagram type

Switches between a bar chart and a curve diagram.

In the case of a bar chart, this button is grayed out.

NOTE:
The default methods of opening the test result file are as follows:
  • If there is no open file currently, a file opened in the in-service mode is represented by a bar chart while a file opened in the out-of-service mode is represented by a curve diagram.
  • If there is an open file currently, the newly opened file is represented by the same figure type as the currently-open file. For example, in the View Test Result dialog box, a file is opened in the out-of-service mode and is represented by a curve diagram. In this case, if you open another file in the in-service mode, this newly opened file is also represented by a curve diagram.

Draw difference diagram

Generates a curve diagram that indicates the difference of the two curves. This button is valid only when two curve diagrams exist in the graphical pane.

Print

Prints the curve diagram.
