Submarine Cable Line Monitoring

In this user interface, you can perform line monitoring operations, such as querying the line status, synchronize the test data, and carry out different types of tests in either the in-service mode or the out-of-service mode. You can also view and analyze the test result.

Queries the current working status of a line.

Synchronize Test Data

Synchronizes the test data between the U2000 Web LCT and NE.

Views middle test result of the line when it is in the Test Status.

In-Service Mode

Start Comparison Test in Single-Test Mode

Starts the comparison test in single-test mode for a line.

Start Manual Test

Starts the manual test for a line.

Start Baseline Collection Test

Starts the baseline collection test.
NOTE:

To provide reference for comparison tests, alerts, and alarms, you need to collect the baseline.

Start Comparison Test in Periodic Mode

Starts the comparison test in periodic mode.

Stop the Test

Stops the test that is carried out currently.

Baseline Management

Manages the baseline data, including the upload, display, setting, and deletion of the baseline.

Test Parameter Management

Sets or queries line test parameters.

Line Test Data Analysis

Displays and analyzes the test data.

Repeater Test Data Analysis

Displays and analyzes the repeater test data.

Gain Report

Queries the gain of each repeater on a line within a certain period in a report.

Event Report

Queries the type of each event and the locations where the events occur on a line in a report.

Out-of-Service Mode

Start Comparison Test in Single-Test Mode

Starts the comparison test in single-test in-service mode for a line.

Start Manual Test

Starts the manual test in in-service mode for a line.

Starts the baseline collection test.

Indicates the monitoring unit at the sink of a line.

Direction

Indicates the direction of the line.

Probe Light Band Type

For example: C

Indicates the band type of the probe light from LMU boards.

Probe Light Wavelength NO./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz)

For example: 1/1529.16/196.050

Indicates the wavelength ID, wavelength, and frequency of the probe light from LMU boards.

Loading Light Band Type

For example: C

Indicates the band type of the compensation light from LMU boards.

Loading Light Wavelength NO./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz)

For example: 1/1529.16/196.050

Indicates the wavelength ID, wavelength, and frequency of the compensation light from LMU boards.

Remarks

Indicates the remarks of the line.

Span ID

For example: 2

Indicates the ID of a span.

Current Working Status

Idle Status, Test Status, Waiting Status, BU Switching Status

Indicates the working status of the line.

NOTE:
If a test is being carried out on the line, the current working status is displayed as Test Status. Otherwise, the current working status is displayed as Idle Status.

Test Status at Source

For example: Test Status

Indicates the test status at the source of a line.

Test Status at Sink

For example: Test Status

Indicates the test status at the sink of a line.

Test Mode

In-Service Test, Out-of-Service Test

Indicates the test mode.

Smooth Filter Status

Open, Close

Specifies whether to enable smooth filter.

Communication Detect

Open, Close

Specifies whether to detect communication status.

Test Type

Comparison Test in Single-Test Mode, Manual Test, Baseline Collection Test, Comparison Test in Periodic Mode, Fast Fault Location Test

Indicates the test type.

Start Time

For example: 2008-04-30 10:50:25

Indicates the start time of a test.

Remaining Time

For example: 10:50:25

Indicates the remaining time to complete a test.

Test progress

For example: 50%

Indicates the test progress.

Scheduled Refresh

Open, Close

Specifies whether the scheduled refresh function is enabled.

Attenuation Coefficient

0.15 to 0.30

Indicates the attenuation coefficient of the span.

Fiber/Cable Length\(km\)

45.0 to 120.0

Indicates the fiber/cable of the span.

Number of Repeaters

1-239

Indicates the number of repeaters.

Number of Spans

2 to 240

Indicates the number of spans.

NOTE:
Number of Spans varies with Number of Repeaters automatically and cannot be set manually.
