Submarine Cable Line Management

In this user interface, you can create, activate, delete, and modify a submarine cable line, and set fiber parameters for the line.

Line Monitoring Unit

For example: 6-LMU-1(IN/OUT)

Indicates the monitoring unit.

Line Amplifier Unit

For example: 3-LOA-1(BAI/BAO)

Indicates the amplifier unit for a line.

Line Selection Unit

For example: 8-LSU-1(IN/OUT)

Specifies the line selection unit.

Line Access Unit

For example: 5-LMI-2(RM/TM)

Indicates the access unit for a line.

Line Access NE

For example: NE3

Indicates the NE where the line access unit is located.

LMU at Source

For example: 9-B2LMU-1(IN/OUT)

Specifies the monitoring unit at the source of a line.

Line Amplifier Unit at Source

For example: 2-B2LAS-1(RI1/TO1)

Specifies the amplifier unit at the source of a line.

LMI at Source

For example: 12-B2LMI-1(RC/TC)

Specifies the access unit at the source of a line.

Probe Light Band

For example: C

Specifies the band type of the probe light from LMU boards.

Probe Light Band/Wavelength NO./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz)

For example: C/1/1529.16/196.050

Specifies the band type, wavelength ID, wavelength, and frequency of the probe light from LMU boards.

Load Light Band

For example: C

Specifies the band type of the compensation light from LMU boards.

Load Light Band/Wavelength NO./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz)

For example: C/1/1529.16/196.050

Specifies the band type, wavelength ID, wavelength, and frequency of the compensation light from LMU boards.

LMU at Sink

For example: 9-B2LMU-1(IN/OUT)

Specifies the monitoring unit at the sink of a line.

Line Amplifier Unit at Sink

For example: 2-B2LAS-1(RI1/TO1)

Specifies the amplifier unit at the sink of a line.

LMI at Sink

For example: 12-B2LMI-1(RC/TC)

Specifies the access unit at the sink of a line.

Repeater Number

For the SLM 1630 V100R001: 1 to 239

For the SLM 1630 V100R002: 0 to 299

Specifies the total number of repeaters on a line.

Number of Spans

For the SLM 1630 V100R001: 2 to 240

For the SLM 1630 V100R002: 1 to 300

Indicates the total number of spans.

NOTE:
Number of Spans changes according to Repeater Number and cannot be set.

Span ID

For example: 2

Displays the ID of a span.

Fiber/Cable Type

For example: G.652

Displays or enables you to set the fiber type of a span.

Refractive Index

1.300 to 1.600

Displays or enables you to set the fiber refractive index of a span.

Attenuation Coefficient

0.15 to 0.30

Displays or enables you to set the fiber attenuation coefficient of a span.

Fiber Length(km)

For the SLM 1630 V100R001: 45.0 to 400.0

For the SLM 1630 V100R002: 35.0 to 400.0

Displays or enables you to set the fiber length of a span.

Number of Underwater Devices

0 to 50

Indicates the number of underwater devices (BU and OEQ) on the created line. OEQ is short for optical equalizer.
