Shelf Link Management

In this user interface, you can configure the subtending mode of subracks. Multi-subrack management is applicable to NG WDM NEs. You can configure the subrack subtending mode to implement inter-subrack protection, enhancing communication reliability between subracks. Currently, rings are used to protect subrack subtending.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Shelf Link Management from the Function Tree.

Shelf Link Mode

Default: Tree

Specifies the subrack subtending mode. Inter-subrack communication can be protected only in ring mode.
