Subwavelength SNCP Service

In this user interface, you can query and modify the attributes and status of an SNCP service.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select the NE and choose Configuration > Subwavelength SNCP Service from the Function Tree.

Provides functions for SNCP services control.

Click this button and the drop-down list provides the options as follows: Query Switching Status, Clear, Force to Protection, Force to Working, Manual to Protection, Manual to Working, Lockout

Query

Queries the attributes and status of all SNCP services.

Apply

Applies the configuration to the NE.

Query Switching Status

Queries the switching status of a protection group.

Clear

Clears switching for the selected port.

Force to Protection

Forces a service to switch from the working channel to the protection channel regardless of the protection channel status.

Force to Working

Forces a service to switch from the protection channel to the working channel regardless of the working channel status.

Manual to Protection

Performs manual switching from the working channel to the protection channel. If the protection channel is normal, the switching takes place. If the protection channel fails or must satisfy a switching request of higher priority, the switching does not take place.

Manual to Working

Performs manual switching from the protection channel to the working channel. If the working channel is normal, the switching takes place. If the working channel fails or must satisfy a switching request of higher priority, the switching does not take place.

Lockout

Regardless of the status of the working channel, the services are locked in the working channel.

Displays the source optical channel of the service.

Sink Channel

  • Equipment that supports the master and slave shelf management: shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name-port number(port name)-channel number
  • Equipment that does not support the master and slave shelf management: slot number-board name-port number(port name)-channel number

Displays the sink optical channel of the service.

Level

For example: GE

Displays the service type of the SNCP.

Protection Type

SW SNCP, SNC/I, SNC/N, SNC/S, MS SNCP

Displays the protection type of a service.

NOTE:

When you select Protection Type is ODUK SNCP, you can set this parameter.

OTN Level

For example: PM

Sets the OTN level.

NOTE:

When you select SNC/N or SNC/S in Protection Type, you can set this parameter.

Status

Normal State, WTR State, Manual (from Protection to Working) Switching State, Manual (from Working to Protection) Switching State, Forced (from Protection to Working) Switching State, Forced (from Working to Protection) Switching State, SD Switching, SF Switching, Lockout

Displays the switching status of the current protection group.

Revertive Mode

Revertive, Non-Revertive

Default: Non-Revertive

Displays the revertive mode that indicates whether services are switched back from the protection channel after the working channel is normal.

WTR Time (mm:ss)

5:00 to 12:00

Sets the wait-to-restore time. The amount of time that elapses from the moment when the working channel is normal to the moment when services are switched back to the working channel. You can modify the WTR Time (s) only when the Revertive Mode is Revertive.

Hold-Off Time (100ms)

0 to 100

Default: 0

Sets the time interval between the time when the system detects signal degrade and the time when the service switching occurs, in order to avoid repeated switching when the service status is not stable.

SD Switching

Enabled, Disabled

Default: Disabled

Sets the SD enabling status.

SD Trigger Condition

-

Display the SD trigger condition.

Channel Status

Normal, SF, SD, Unknown

Displays the status of the working service or the protection service in a protection group.

Current Channel

Working Channel, Protection Channel, Delay Start, Unknown

Displays whether the working service or the protection service is selectively received.
