  • Equipment that does not support the master and slave shelf management: NE name-slot number-board name-port number(port name)
NOTE:

For details about the differences between the standard and compatibility modes, see the Impacts of the Standard Mode on the U2000 Web LCT in Channel Model (OTU, Line or PID Board).

Indicates the flow control mode of the mapped trail of the service that passes the port.

Client Service Bearer Rate (M)

The transmission rate of the client-side service varies according to different OTU boards as follows:
  • 100 to 2500 (applicable to the LDMS, LDMD, 12LDM, 12LQMS, 12LQMD, 13LQM, 12TQM, and TOM boards)
  • 100 to 5000 (applicable to the 12LOM board)

Indicates the range of client service rates that the equipment can bear.

Laser Status

Open, Close

Specifies the status of a laser.

Automatic Laser Shutdown

Enabled, Disabled

Specifies whether to shut down the laser automatically. If auto-shutdown is set, when the received signal is lost, the laser shuts down automatically, so that the laser service life is extended and body injury is avoided.

ALS Auxiliary Condition

FW_Defect, BW_Client_R_LOS, BW_WDM_Defect, FW_OPUk_CSF

When Automatic Laser Shutdown function is enabled, you can choose to set auxiliary conditions for ALS on Client port.

NOTE:

Several conditions can be chosen at the same time.

Hold-Off Time of Automatic Laser Shutdown

0s to 2s, step:100ms

Default: 0s

Specifies the hold-off time for automatically disabling lasers. With ALS enabled, the hold-off time is a time period from the point when the system detects service interruption to the point when ALS automatically shuts down the related lasers.

Hold-off Time of Automatic Laser Turn-On

0s to 2s, step:100ms

Default: 0s

Specifies the hold-off time for automatically enabling lasers. With ALS enabled, the hold-off time is a time period from the point when the system detects service recovery to the point when ALS automatically enables the related lasers.

Service

For example: OTN

Selects the service mode of the port.

Board

The specific value is related to the board.

Sets the mode for the board. See Board Mode (WDM Interface) for more information.

LPT Enabled

Enabled, Disabled

Enables or disables the LPT pass-through function of the EPL service.

Current Bearer Rate (M)

For example: 50

Indicates the rate of the client service that is currently accessed.

FEC Working State

Enabled, Disabled

Specifies whether the board performs FEC processing on data.

FEC

FEC, AFEC, HFEC, SDFEC

Sets the FEC type.

NOTE:

If you modify the value of the FEC , the default value of the Degrade Threshold before FEC will be modified automatically.

AFEC Grade

1, 2, 3

Set the AFEC grade.

NOTE:
  • The larger the grade is, the longer the error correction duration will be.
  • Generally, you are not advised to set the grade ton 1.

Actual Wavelength No./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz)

For example: 1/1529.16/196.05

Indicates the actual working wavelength of the optical port.

An actual wavelength is the optical wavelength emitted by a laser.

Actual Band Type

C, CWDM

Indicates the band of the actual working wavelength.

Configure Wavelength No./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz)

For example: 1/1529.16/196.05

Indicates the configured wavelength, wavelength number, and frequency. This parameter is applicable to the NG WDM equipment.

A configured wavelength is a logical wavelength. The function of setting configured wavelengths enables you to perform networking planning on the U2000 Web LCT instead of on the physical modules. When you use this function, manual mistakes will not lead to inconsistency between network deployment and network planning. End-to-end management of the U2000 Web LCT is implemented based on configured wavelengths instead of actual wavelengths of physical modules. The value of a configured wavelength is not changed or lost when relevant physical boards are changed or out of position.

You need to set configured wavelengths during network planning. The functions of configured wavelengths are as follows:
  • In the case of a tunable wavelength board, the corresponding NE automatically adjusts the wavelength of the board to an appropriate value according to the configured wavelength information of the corresponding logical slot. When you change a board, it is not necessary to manually adjust the wavelength. This automatic adjustment prevents manual mistakes.
  • When an inappropriate fixed wavelength board is used, the corresponding NE detects that the wavelength of the current physical module is inconsistent with the configured wavelength. Thus, an alarm is generated. This greatly reduces the time for troubleshooting when services are interrupted due to an inappropriate wavelength. To keep consistency between the actual wavelength and configured wavelength, you can change the optical module of the board.
NOTICE:

Actual wavelengths must be consistent with the corresponding planned wavelengths. Otherwise, relevant services are interrupted and the networking planning is affected.

Configure Band Type

C, CWDM

Configures the band for the working wavelength.

Maximum Packet Length

1518-9600

Specifies the maximum packet length of the data. Packets that exceed this length are discarded.

Ethernet Working

Auto-Negotiation, 10M Half-Duplex, 10M Full-Duplex, 100M Half-Duplex, 100M Full-Duplex, 1000M Half-Duplex, 1000M Full-Duplex,

Indicates the working modes of the Ethernet port. Auto-Negotiation can automatically detect the optimized combination of working modes of the opposite port. This mode is easy to maintain and is recommended.

Make sure that the working modes of this port and the opposite port are consistent. If the port modes are different, services are down.

OTN Overhead Transparent Transmission

Disabled, Enabled

Enables or disables the function of OTN Overhead Transparent Transmission.

SD Trigger Condition

B1_SD, OTUk_DEG, ODUk_PM_DEG

Specifies the SD switching condition.

FC Distance Extension

Enabled, Disabled

Enables or disables the FC distance extension.

NOTE:
In the case of different boards on different equipment, different WDM interfaces are supported. According to the corresponding user interface of the NMS, the parameter description table lists the whole set of parameters in this user interface of the NMS. For detailed parameters supported by each board, see the Hardware Description for each type of equipment.
