When you need to use the line clock source of the equipment as the phase-locked source, you must configure the priority table for phase-locked sources in this user interface. Usually, the equipment uses internal clock sources as phase-locked sources. In this user interface, you can also query and set priority table for phase-locked sources of first external output clocks and adjust the priority of each clock source. The available clock source with the highest priority can be used as the phase-locked source to lock the phase of first external output clock. An internal source can be assigned with the lowest priority level only.
In the NE Explorer, select the NE and choose from the Function Tree. Click the Priority for PLL Clock Sources of 1st External Output tab.

Description |

Lock |
Prevents the phase-locked source from switching. The switching of clock source is not allowed if the clock source in the lock status. |
Unlock |
Clears the lockout status. |
Forced Switching |
Forces the phase-locked source to switch from the available clock source with the higher priority to the available clock source with the lower priority regardless of the available clock source with the lower priority status. |
Manual Switching |
Performs manual phase-locked source switching from the available clock source with the higher priority to the available clock source with the lower priority. If the available clock source with the lower priority is normal, the switching takes place. If the available clock source with the lower priority fails , the switching does not take place. |
Clear Switching |
Clear the switching status. |
Add Clock Source |
Select available resource as the clock source. |
Delete Clock Source |
Delete the current clock source. |
Field |
Value |
Description |
|---|---|---|
Clock Source |
For example: Internal Clock Source |
Displays the name of the clock source. |
Other Fiber End |
For example: NE2-Shelf18(subrack)-18-11ST2-2(RM2/TM2) |
Indicates the port connected to the clock source by a fiber. |
Current Status |
Valid, Invalid |
Displays the active state of the clock source. If the clock source exists, its active state is displayed as Valid. |
Lock Status |
Lock, Unlock Default: Unlock |
Sets the locking state of the clock source, which is usually set to Unlock. |
Trace Mode |
Internal Source, Line Source Default: Internal Source |
To use the line clock source as a phase-locked source, the locked mode must be set to Line Source. |
Current Trace Source |
For example: 1-EM6T-2(port-2) |
Displays the clock source that the NE is currently tracing. |
Switching Source |
For example: 11-N2SL16-1(port-1) |
Displays the switched clock source that the NE is tracing. |
Switching Status |
Forced Switching, Manual Switching, Normal |
Displays the switching status of clock source. |
S1 Byte |
For example: Synchronous Source Unavailable |
Displays the trace source of the current NE clock. For query only. This field displays no information until the S1 byte (clock protection function) is activated. |
Clock Source Priority (Highest: 1) |
An integer greater than or equal to 1 |
"1" indicates the highest priority of the clock source. The priority increases as the value decreases. |
